Call to Artists || Unconscious Bias Exhibition

Wyoming Community in Action is partnering with Art Resource Team, Paradigm Studios and Wyoming Community Foundation to host an art show centering on the theme of 

Unconscious Bias. 

This is an open call to all artists and all mediums of fine art and artisan work.

Important Dates:

January 31, 2021 - Electronic Deadline for jury & exhibition should be sent in high resolution (.jpg) to Inez Baird at by midnight.
February 1, 2021 - Work judged. Artists notified by Feb 2nd at 9PM.
February 4, 2021 - Drop off physical work selected to be showed in the exhibition Feb 4th (11AM-3PM,)
Feb 5th (11AM -7PM), & Feb 6th (11AM - 1PM.)
February 13, 2021 - ‘Unconscious Bias’ Exhibit opens: Reception 6PM-9PM
March 13, 2021 - Final day of exhibition.
March 15, 2021 - Pick up unsold work by Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1PM.
If work is not picked up by Saturday, March 20th at 4PM, there will be a $25/daily storage fee. 

The ‘Exhibition’ is open to all original fine artists and artisans. All works to be considered for the exhibition
MUST be submitted by the above specified date and time and MUST remain at the gallery throughout the duration of the exhibition.

All work must be original to the artists submitting for the Exhibition. Original art is acceptable.
Reproductions and prints of the submitted artists’ work is permissible, if the original is submitted along with entry. All media/mediums are eligible. Work must be exhibition-ready with hanging devices installed (anchored screws on either end with hanging wire attached ONLY.) ART & Paradigm Studios will not accept work/s that do not have proper installation readiness.

Art submissions may NOT in any way be a copy of another artist’s work.

All 2-dimensional work must be under 48” x 60.” All 3-dimensional work must be under 60” high, 36”deep, and 48” wide. Submissions that do not conform to these guidelines will not be eligible for entry.

Artists/Artisans can submit up to TWO pieces of work with no fee. Each additional submission
will require a $15 non-refundable fee. Up to SIX pieces may be submitted. All fees are due when work is dropped off to Wyoming Recreation Foundation .

Artists/Artisans interested in being juried must submit their work by January 31, 2021 at midnight. Submitted work must follow all of the guidelines, have signature blocked out, complete an entry form for each piece submitted. Electronic image submissions of artists’ work can also be entered for jury. Work for this exhibition can not exceed a $2500 Retail Price Point. If art is not available for sale, please note on your application.

All artists’ work selected for the exhibition must be hand-delivered to ART/Paradigm Studios 506 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, OH 45215 between Feb 4th (11AM-3PM,) Feb. 5th (11AM -7PM), & Feb. 6th (11AM - 1PM.) Each piece must have a submission form filled out. Art may not be dropped off before or after intake day. After the close of the exhibition, all unsold artwork must be picked up by March 20, 2021 by 4PM. If work is not picked up by 4PM on 3/20/21 there will be a $25/daily storage fee.


The jury will select three overall winners to receive awards: First Place ($250,) Second Place ($100,) and Third Place ($25.) All prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception - February 13, 2021. The First Place winner will also be offered a solo exhibition at the ART/Paradigm Studio during the 2022 Exhibition Year.


All artists’/artisans’ work should be priced or valued for insurance purposes. All work submitted for show must be available to purchase. Artists will receive a 60% commission on all works sold during the exhibition. It is not permissible to solicit any patrons/clients of the exhibit directly to circumvent the gallery and exhibition hosts.


Although every effort will be made to insure the safety of the artwork, ART/Paradigm Studios will assume no responsibility for damage or deterioration incurred before or after the exhibition or for possible loss in transit.
